Hertha Braun from Celle had a high school diploma and became a secretary. When her mother died, her anxiety worsened. At the age of 25, she was admitted to the Lüneburg mental hospital for the first time. Further stays followed. On April 30, 1941, she was transferred to the Herborn intermediate institution as part of »Aktion T4.« She returned to the Lüneburg institution and nursing home on August 26, 1941, and survived.
