THINKING

Attitudes towards people with disabilities and mental illnesses have changed over the centuries. Depending on how they were perceived, medical care and how they were treated in the community also changed.

The miniature is made of wood. It is a replica of a hospital pavilion. The building has two storeys and a pointed roof. The bricks are red and yellow, there are patterns in the brickwork. There are nine windows on each floor. On the left side there is a wide bay window over the entire height of the house. The building is from the nineteenth century.
